Longer recording time and fast transfer rate with the new Sony dual layer 50gb professional optical disc for XDCAM cameras such as the HD420 and HD422.
 
These dual layer discs will record approximately 190 min. - 85 min. in the single layer disc - of SD content in DVCAM mode at 25 Mbps and 270 min. -120 min. in the single layer disc - of HD content in MPEG mode at 18 Mbps.
 
These discs have a maximum writing transfer rate of 172 Mbps using two optical heads and 86 Mbps using one optical head.
